Heartland Center for Autism is seeking a driven BCBA as our Clinical Director to join our Heartland clinical Team. This unique position calls for those who have the passion to serve our youth ages 6-17 years who have and IDD diagnosis/ASD. Heartlands residential treatment program’s Clinical Director position does NOT require minimum billable or re-assessment’s to be completed. This candidate will be a self-starter enjoy supervising and training staff and overseeing the daily clinical operations at both of Heartland’s locations (Okemos and Grand Rapids). This position does not require travel other than periodic onsite support of the Grand Rapids Center. Salary Negotiable.

The BCBA / Clinical Director is responsible for:
​

Conducting initial and ongoing behavioral assessments.

Creating and developing individualized behavior intervention plans.

Conduct Parent training sessions and update parents on programing modifications and clinical updates.

Oversee and support Center Operations Manager (COM) with misc. clinical duties and responsibilities.

Develop and deliver weekly case management calls with funding sources.

Monitoring the implementation of the learner’s programming and modification of the treatment plan as needed.

Collaboratively with other members of the youth’s treatment team.

Train and provide supervision of Behavior Technicians.
-
Collaborate with Executive Clinical Director regarding developments, problems, or concerns as needed.

Complete all clinical documentation via electronic medical record (EMR) in a thorough, efficient, and timely manner, in compliance with internal and external quality and regulatory requirements.

Assist with the interview process for new staff members.

Work closely with COM to develop ongoing schedules.

Oversee and support COM daily clinical responsibilities.

On call clinical support (remote and in person) on an as needed basis.

Assists with new staff training as needed.

Offers feedback on staff performance reviews.

Responsible for completing and submitting any incident reports.

Providing oversight and supervision to assigned Behavior Technicians.

Design and train staff on Behavior Intervention plans.
Candidates should have:

At least 3 years’ experience working as a Clinical Director.

Master’s degree in a field related to Behavior Analysis (master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis preferred)

BCBA Certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Current State of Michigan Behavior Analyst Licensure
-
Responsible for writing Individualized Plan of Service (IPOS)and (UPOS) based on youth’s individual’s needs for all of HCA’s residents.

Must be able to lead and work in a team environment.

Must be albe to problem solve during challenging situations.
Must have knowledge of conducting writing/assessments and writing and implementing programs and targets.

Experience working with Severe behavior.

Familiar with the Hanley approach to ABA/

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of conducting assessments and reviewing assessments per the job description (AFLS, VB-MAPP, Vineland, ABLLS-R
